We made sure to go through Munroe Falls, where Heather's Grandparents, "Pops and Duchess" Renner, buiilt and ran a swim/fishing/picnicking park club - and I visited every August as a child.
The main swimming lake and bathhouse
Local group of kids enjoying the lake(on a RAINY DAY)...usually this area is packed with people but weather dissuaded many!a
a nice area for a picnic
Swenson's famous hamburgers (this is an o;ld-time burger joint/drive-in in operation since the late 40's/early 50's)...they still hire local high school and college boys who run out to the car when you flash your headlights. Silver trays are still placed on a half-opened driver's-side window to put those greasy, yummy burgers (and BOB'S choc. shake) on!

Wow - what an awesome trip so far! SWENSENS!!!! I want that right now! I remember it from childhood - one of my favorite memories is eating there.
Oh, and I found this on Gomer Griffith - there are tons of articles, biographies and everything on him including some in relation to Brigham Young.
