Good-bye to the splendor of Niagara Falls, as we are leaving the area to head for Toronto, Canada (approximately 6 hours drive, Northeast).

Just past the Falls, on a quaint street alongside the Niagara River, are several grand Victorian B & B's, such as this one (which we wouldn't mind staying when we next return) - "The Chestnut Inn."

We then drove through a beautiful, very wealthy small community named "Niagara-on-the-Lakes." Luckily for Bob, we did not have time to stop, because this community has terrific boutique shopping, over 60 great wineries, antique shops, etc. This is the one winery I chose to show, "Riverbend Inn and Vineyard"...

This is it...it IS a GRAND, beautiful place, surrounded by a stone wall/gate and acres of green grape vineyard fields.

Entering into Toronto, Canada..amidst skyscrapers, we can glimpse the CN Tower (higher than the Tokyo OR Eiffel Towers), which stands for "Canadian National." In front of that, the white domed building is the field where the Toronto BlueJays play.

The primary reason Bob and I stopped at Toronto was to visit/stay a night with Geoff's brother and sister-in-law, James and Melanie Ducksworth. We walked with them past this picturesque park, and got a quick snapshot in front of many groups of flowers in bloom.

Just before we found a great indoor/outdoor bar and grill, we walked along this Lake Ontario beach.

Bob, Melanie and James at the outdoor cafe/grille.

Along the Waterfront of the lake, we explored.

The 4 of us decided to take a 2-hour clipper ship sailing cruise out on Lake Ontario. It was a sunny day, with just the right amount of puffy white clouds. This is Heather's fav photo...I like the angle.

Mel and James on the deck :)

Bob volunteered to help hoist the main sail. He and the fellow in the foreground tried, but the crew said it was "caught" and we didn't use that sail. (Bob broke it...HAHA)

Out on the water, Bob whispers to James what a wonderful WIFE he has...and he'd do it all over again, given the chance!!! :) :) :)

The newlyweds on the porch of their Toronto home on Merritt Street. They were so hospitable, and we really enjoyed visiting with them!

That night, they took us to their FAV Italian restaurant that actually RIVALS Heather's very FAV in Tucson, "Caruso's"! The homemade Italian/garlic dressing, and meatballs, and lasagne were excellent...and so was the wine!

the Ducksworths, too!
